Comments:
William Smith was my gt gt grandfather. From at least 1859 until 1871 he was a plumber/glazier/painter. He and his wife Jane appear in the 1861 and 1871 census in Middle Row. It seems the business belonged to Joseph Smith plumber/glazier/painter between at least 1820 and 1851. On his death in 1854 it passed to John Bailey (son of Benson Bailey and nephew of Joseph's wife). however John Bailey died in 1856 so it appears it reverted to the Smith family. William Smith was Joseph's nephew
