This is almost opposite the bus station entrance / Sunwin House and completely covered over now. Behind the high wall is a footpath leading up past Goshen St and on to Devonshire St. I think the stepping stones led to Brookside.

Over Wilderness Beck is the back entrance to Birtwhistle Yard, used as a short cut to the High St. When the shops were open you could also use the back double doors of Woolworths and go through the store to reach the High Street.
